Salary - £25,043 per annum (pro rata for part-time/term-time hours)Hours - Up to 28 hours per weekContract - Fixed Term - until June 2026Location - StamfordClosing Date - 19th March 2026Stamford College, part of Inspire Education Group, is looking for caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Workers to join our Additional Learning Support team.This is a rewarding role where you will support students with additional needs to access learning, build confidence and achieve their goals.About the roleWorking alongside teaching staff, you will provide in-class support to students, helping them stay engaged and get the most from their learning.Your role will include:Supporting students with learning difficulties or disabilities in the classroomHelping learners stay focused, motivated and confidentSupporting literacy, numeracy and study skillsEncouraging independence and helping students develop life skillsAssisting with exam support such as reading, scribing or promptingWorking closely with teaching staff to ensure students receive the support they needAbout youWe are looking for someone who is patient, supportive and passionate about helping young people succeed.You may have experience supporting learners in schools, colleges, care settings or voluntary roles – but most importantly you will have a positive attitude and the ability to build supportive relationships with students.You will ideally have:GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)Good communication and teamwork skillsA calm, supportive and encouraging approachA Level 2 Learning Support qualification is desirable, but support can be provided to gain this.What we offerLocal Government Pension SchemeOpportunities for training and developmentA supportive and friendly team environmentA rewarding role helping students reach their potentialAll offers of employment are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
