Are you a current Business teacher? Are you looking to build your CPD, share best practice with fellow subject experts and further inspire your teaching? AQA is recruiting GCSE and A-level Business examiners for summer 2026. This flexible role fits alongside a full-time teaching job and is completed online from home.
Key responsibilities
• Review student responses and apply the mark scheme accurately and consistently to ensure fair results.
• Commit an average of 15 to 20 hours a week to marking during the exam period.
• Mark between 90 and 150 A-level papers or around 180 GCSE papers.
• Complete your marking over approximately one month. Full details of your allocation, deadlines and earnings will be confirmed when you receive your contract.
What’s in it for you
• Benefit from expert training and support. We will equip you with everything you need to feel confident and succeed.
• Build your CPD, gain insight into how students respond to exam questions, sharpen your marking skills and bring valuable knowledge back into your classroom.
• Join a community of subject specialists. Share best practice and work alongside other Business teachers and examiners, supported by an experienced team leader.
• Mark from home or school at times that suit you, with clear deadlines and ongoing support.
• Typical earnings range from £840 to £1,400 for A-level or around £700 for GCSE, depending on the paper.
What you'll need
• At least three full terms teaching Business within the last five years.
• A senior referee who can verify your relevant experience.
• Preferably a degree, teaching qualification or equivalent in Business.
