Summary

Role Profile We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced MSK Physiotherapist to join our expanding services across primary care in Rotherham. Working within GP practices, you will independently manage a varied MSK caseload, deliver highquality assessment and treatment, and contribute to service development initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for physiotherapists looking to further develop their primary care skills. This role specifically involves the delivery of MSK assessment and treatment to patients identified through the Health & Growth Accelerator (HGA) programme, supporting individuals to remain in or return to work, reducing economic inactivity linked to health. Key Responsibilities Clinical Practice Independently assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of MSK conditions using evidencebased practice. Recognise red flags and escalate appropriately. Formulate individualised rehabilitation plans, promoting selfmanagement. Provide accurate and timely clinical documentation. Tailor care to individual needs, considering health, wellbeing, function, mobility, and employment status. Deliver supported selfmanagement programmes that promote behaviour change and independence. Provide exercise therapy and painmanagement education. Communicate clearly with patients and carers regarding diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment options. Support shared decisionmaking in line with NICE guidance. Maintain clinical governance, including audit, evaluation, supervision, and training. Professional Collaboration & Service Development Engage in regular clinical supervision and case discussions. Take ownership of personal development, completing relevant competencies. Support student physiotherapists through induction, mentoring, and supervision. Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and quality improvement. Build effective relationships with GPs, practice nurses, social prescribers, and the wider PCN MDT. Support MSK healthpromotion initiatives. Progression towards First Contact Practitioner (FCP) roles is actively supported. Key Skills & Attributes Calm under pressure in a fastpaced environment. Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications HCPC and CSPregistered Physiotherapist with minimum 12 months UK MSK experience. Uptodate CPD portfolio in MSK physiotherapy. Strong clinical reasoning and ability to work independently. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to collaborative, patientcentred care. Experience with SystmOne/EMIS (desirable). Previous primary care or community MSK experience (desirable). General Terms Maintain conduct in line with Primary Care Physios Code of Conduct.
