Job Description Ophthalmic Technician Oaks Hospital, Colchester Bank Hours Role The Ophthalmic Technician supports Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. You will work effectively within a multi-professional team and provide guidance to less experienced staff and learners in the clinical environment. Responsibilities: Communicate with patients, carers, and the team Interview patients to record symptoms Conduct eye exams and tests Evaluate test results and assist in diagnosis Support ophthalmologists in surgery Administer medications and treatments Ensure patient understanding of procedures Maintain medical records Clean and maintain equipment Requirements: 2+ years as an OT in an eye hospital A Level education or above Ophthalmic Medical Technicians Course Strong IT skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexible working approach
