- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities
- Support pupils with additional needs to help them fully engage in lessons
- Promote positive behaviour and follow school behaviour policies
- Help prepare learning materials and contribute to classroom organisation
- Encourage independence, confidence, and good study habits
- Monitor pupil progress and share relevant observations with teaching staff
- Support school routines and wider duties during longer-term placements
- Previous experience supporting pupils in a secondary school setting
- Strong understanding of strategies for supporting mixed-ability and SEND learners
- Calm, patient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Confident supporting learning across different subject areas
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptable across year groups and varied classroom environments
- Professional, reliable, and proactive
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake additional training and development
