We are seeking a skilled and versatile Mobile Plumber to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across sites in Taunton, Tiverton and Bridgwater, covering the wider Cornwall and Devon regions.​

This mobile role offers varied daily work, with some days involving multiple sites and others spent entirely on a single location, depending on operational needs.

Job Description

We are looking for a plumbing professional who is confident working independently, comfortable travelling between sites, and experienced in both PPM and reactive tasks.​

The ideal candidate will bring strong fault-finding ability, broad maintenance knowledge, and a commitment to delivering a safe, high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, testing and repairs on plumbing systems and equipment.

Diagnose faults, dismantle equipment, replace defective parts and complete leak detection and calibration tasks.

Repair cracked pipes, unblock drainage and work safely from ladders, scaffolds or lifts when required.

Install, modify and repair plumbing systems, including water heaters, tanks, sinks, showers, and drainage systems.

Interpret building plans, blueprints and sketches to plan pipe routes, connections and system layouts.

Carry out soldering, brazing, jointing, valve installation and backflow prevention device maintenance to local code standards.

Support general mechanical operations, including maintenance on washers, compressors, hydraulic lifts and sprinkler systems.

Complete accurate work records, material estimates, and documentation; manage time effectively and prioritise tasks.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Fully qualified plumber with NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing & Heating or Mechanical Systems.

G3 Unvented qualification (or willingness to complete).

Experience in FM/maintenance environments preferred; fault-finding skills essential.

Ability to undertake building fabric tasks as part of a varied workload.

Strong understanding of material costs and efficient service delivery.

Full UK driving licence (mobile role).
