Summary
You're in luck as our amazing #TeamNewRow in Perth are now on the lookout for a caring and reliable individual to join them on a part-time (16 hours per week) basis.
Our team and the individual you'll support
As a Support Practitioner you'll become part of a friendly team who provides invaluable support to a gentleman in his own home.
You'll build a genuine relationship with him and be part of moments that really matter; whether it's providing support to cook a meal, achieve a goal, try something new or just feel understood.
In addition to supporting with all aspects of his daily living, this gentleman enjoys going for walks, day trips, swimming, going to Costa for coffee and cake, drives in his car, exploring and technology. Although, we're looking for someone who is fun and outgoing, you'll also need to be able to adapt to enjoy quiet times and have the ability to think of fun activities to do when the weather isn't so great.
Being a Support Practitioner is more than just a job, there's no better feeling than going home after every shift knowing that you've made a positive difference in someone's life.
About You
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and we'll give you all the training you'll need if you're successful. We'll pay you for your training and will even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC registration fees too!
As the gentleman that we support has his own mobility car, it would be great if you bring a full UK manual driving license, but this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.
All we’ll need you to bring is: -
Confidence to support in the water as swimming is a regular activity.
Good listening and communication skills.
A caring attitude and approach.
A positive approach to learning.
An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines.
Confidence in the use of computers.
Star Awards - Be the one who makes a difference
Shift patterns
As we're dedicated to providing the best 24/7 support possible, shift pattern for this opportunity will usually involve working one shift per week which will include a sleepover.
The sleepover part of a sleepover shift is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £100.80 for each sleepover worked.
