Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our dynamic Cardiology team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical skills within a specialist environment, caring for patients with a wide range of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing cardiac investigations, interventions, and ongoing treatment. You will gain valuable experience in managing patients with conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, acute coronary syndromes, and post–cardiac procedures.
Successful candidates must have post-preceptorship experience.
Please note this post is not suitable for applicants who are required to undertake the OSCE training programme. Applicants who do not have current valid UK NMC registration will not be considered for this post.
Successful applicants will be required to provide an immunisation and vaccination report, from either their current UK occupational health provider or their UK GP.
• Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
• Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional team.
• Demonstrate highly technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management including; complex patient monitoring; equipment management and frequent administration of invasive tests/procedures.
• Develop and educate staff, participating in supervision, mentorship and appraisal as required.
