Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of linens and garments within our establishment. This position requires a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and customer service, ensuring that all laundry is handled efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate needs to be able to work independently without supervision so will need to be over 21. There will also often be a requirement to collect/drop-off laundry (costs reimbursed) within the local area so the ability to drive is a must.
Duties
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron linens and garments according to established procedures.
Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and effectively.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
Assist with serving customers in the self service area with any help they need
Taking payments and cash handling
Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all tasks.
Experience
Previous experience is highly desirable but not necessary
Familiarity with laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
