The Role:
A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest and most complex Coronial areas in England and Wales.
Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire are looking for an exceptional candidate to join us as our Coroner Services Manager. The role plays a vital part in providing leadership and direction, ensuring the service strives for a culture of excellence to provide the very best standards for bereaved families in our area.
The successful individual will be able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of coronial services enabling them to contribute to the future aims of the service.
You will need to demonstrate a strong track record of experience in a relevant role, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
The role also incorporates management of the area mortuary. Experience of working in a highly regulated environment is essential, as is knowledge of the relevant legislation and the role of the HTA.
This is a rare opportunity for the right person to help develop the future of the Coroner's Service in Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire. The role has wide ranging responsibilities including contract management, financial planning, management of budgets, statutory compliance, development of the team, future planning, policy development and oversight of the day to day running of the service. The role is key in ensuring that the service not only provides a timely, professional and efficient service, but that it remains so for the future.
The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. The ability to form positive working relationships and engender confidence with a range of stakeholders is essential.
