Summary

Personal Assistant (PA)/Support Worker

About the Direct Payment Holder S is a very energetic 10 year old boy, who enjoys being outside, running, exploring and seeks a lot of sensory input.
S has a diagnosis of autism and is pre-verbal. Due to communication difficulties, S can display some challenging behaviours.
S requires 2:1 support.
Hours and rate of pay hours Two PA’s required for 2:1 Support - £14.00 per hour - 30 hours to be used flexibly during the school holidays.
Location Eddington, CB3 area
DBS/Checks Confirmation of DBS check
Right to Work and references will be needed.
What you would be doing… Support S around the home and out in the community, visiting the park or participating in other activities. Helping S to broaden his interests and allow him to socialise with young people in a supportive and structured environment.
Supporting S during mealtimes and assisting with other personal care needs, including toileting and nappy changes.
Required skills and experience Knowledge/Experience of working with children with autism.
It is very important that you are reliable, have good timekeeping and strong communication skills.
A bubbly personality, a good sense of humour, and a kind and caring nature, active and willing to be in interactive
Driving License and use of own car is desirable (Car insurance with business use is a mandatory requirement).
