Summary
We are currently recruiting Warehouse Operatives to join the team at DP World, based in Burton-on-Trent, DE14 3PD. DP World is a global leader in end to end supply chain solutions, and Burton is a central hub for processing returns and relocating products within the supply chain.
Role of a Warehouse Operative:
- Receive, unload, and check incoming goods against delivery notes
- Processing customer returns and relocating Amazon products
- Pick and move bulky items such as fridges, washing machines, TVs, and garden furniture
- Store products accurately in designated warehouse areas
- Prepare goods for dispatch, including labelling and wrapping
- Operate pump trucks
- Heavy lifting and manual handling part of daily tasks
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies
- Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and procedures
- Carry out any other reasonable duties to support warehouse operations
As a Warehouse Operative, you will need:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
- Good understanding of written and spoken English
- Comfortable working with handheld scanning devices and basic IT systems
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
Details:
- Salary: £12.85 per hour, Overtime £19.28
- Location: DP World, Burton-on-Trent, DE14 3PD
- Shifts: Monday Friday 08:00-16:30
- Start Date: Immediate starts available
- Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process
