Summary



-Job Overview

-To protect our customer's property, people and/or assets by providing security services in direct accordance with the sites published Assignment Instructions (AI's) and any subsequent changes.

-Delivering results that meet and / or exceed the Key performance indicators / Service Level Agreement for the customer through full responsibility and accountability, providing a service that aids in the retention of the contract.

-To undertake additional training to ensure continuous self-development.

Job Overview:

-Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure working environment for all customers, visitors and contractors working on or visiting site

A high level of customer service and professionalism is required as security are often the first point of contact for all users of the building and are front line representatives for the client.

Daily Duties- Mon- Fri

-Manning the security posts within the site including the loading bay and security control Room.

-Cover Loading bay and Car bark at 1MLP throughout the day to provide visual deterrence, meet and greet staff members, visitors and contractors.

-Booking staff members and visitors on reception in accordance with site procedures.

-Conducting daily (Visitors/Temp/Estate/Contractor) card audit by deactivate all missing cards

-Patrolling of the site (internal and external), identifying any defects or issues and resolving accordingly

-Reporting all faults found to Control room/Supervisor during the duty and log it on Helpdesk

-General knowledge on how to view Staff profiles on ACT.

-Organising the car bark request and respond accordingly.

-Responsible for organising the barking slot and be sure no any unauthorised items left at loading bay

-Print contractors access cards as and when requests come through via client email

-Responsible for issuance of keys to authorised staff member and contractors

-Escort staff members during out of hours to collect stuff from lockers or luggage storage in cloak room

-Mann loading bay during working hours and monitoring the car park bays and bike rack

-Receive deliveries during working hours and out of hours from the loading bay and recording it in the logbook

-Keep deliveries in the storage cage and hand over all the received deliveries to the different department

-Responsible to induct contractors via e-permit system and contact relevant host before providing the egress to premises. Also, close off permits when the contractor completes work on site in accordance with site procedures

-Respond to emails received on logistics email (in an efficient and professional manner) if well knowledgeable of the subject.

-Switching off monitors every and equipment at Logistic office and handover any issue and instruction and total count of the car barked to security supervisor

-Conduct bikes audit weekly to keep a count of all the bicycles left overnight in the sheds

-Receiving deliveries via MLP main gate and keep the communication during the business hours.

-Remain Alert when covering control room in the absence of security controller as and when required

-Responding to calls and emails for any Logistics matter, ensuring service levels are provided to a high standard

-Working closely with other service providers and the local community including the police

-Maintaining high level hygiene at reception, control room and loading bay

Implementing and enforcing emergency procedures



Loading Bay safety Rules

-Security has the responsibility of managing all traffic in and out of the loading bay.

-All Security working in the Loading Bay is to be wearing a Hi-Vis jacket.

-Vehicle deliveries and foot deliveries are to be accepted via the loading bay

-Follow the Manual handing and health and safety instruction

-Wearing the correct PPE As site rules



Primary Responsibilities:



-Processing deliveries, vehicles, ensuring they show a form of ID, are announced to the BSM where applicable.

-Providing banksman signals to all vehicles moving in the area where applicable

-Maintaining a safe environment and quickly addressing any health and safety risks

-Ensuring all users of the area comply with the rules, sticking to walkways, safe unloading, PPE etc.

-Security awareness of surrounding areas, keeping an eye out for disturbances, hostile reconnaissance etc

-Ensure all contractors who report on site to are approved and permits are in place. Officer is to refer to the E-Permits system (Tablet) to validate access.

-All permits are to be signed by contractor as well as security prior to entry

-All permits are to be signed off at the close of works by both Security and contractor.
