Summary
We are recruiting for Housekeepers to join our fantastic client near Newark on a Casual Zero Hours contract basis.
Our client runs a respectable and high standard location that upholds incredibly high standards of cleanliness and are looking to recruit new team members to assist with Housekeeping and join the company's bank of Casual staff.
The venue is due to experience a busy period over summer, however they do have fixtures in the run up to Christmas so work is possible all year round.
As you will be on a Casual contract, you'd agree dates of work in advance with the friendly Management team.
Day-to-day, you will be:
- Cleaning guest bedrooms after visits, re-laundering, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, replenishing products etc.
- Following agreed room checklists and working efficiently within company standards
- Cleaning communal areas of the building
- Disposing of waste correctly
- Managing the laundry and replenishing stock for spares
- Reporting any maintenance issues to Management
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
We are looking for people who have:
- A hard-working nature. Housekeepers work incredibly hard and you will be on your feet for the duration of the shift!
- A reliable nature - the company has small and hard-working teams therefore any unreliability has an impact on the company's ability to uphold the standards they strive for
- A presentable and clean appearance
- Experience in Housekeeping ideally, or Cleaning - but training can be provided for those people with the right attitude
- Strong time management skills
- A high level of attention to detail
- A friendly nature when speaking to colleagues and guests
In return our client offers a friendly and positive work environment with excellent opportunities for work and a highly supportive Management team.
Hours of work usually tend to be Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays (with occasional weekdays which usually fall in the summer-time), with varying hours of work, but usually the earliest daily start would be 8:00am and typical finish time of around 3:00pm.
You would require the availability at weekends to be suitable for this role.
Hourly rate of pay £12.50 for age 21+, £10.00 for age 18-20.
As of April 2026 they expect the wage for age 21+ will increase to £13.00 and for age 18-20 would be £10.85.
We would strongly recommend a Driving Licence and own transport for this role due to the location of the company.
