Summary
Revenues Officer - Council Tax (Remote) needed, £16ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1705093
• To accurately maintain and update council tax account records to ensure prompt billing and collection of council tax.
• To maintain a knowledge and awareness of all aspects of Local Taxation legislation and regulations
• To assist in the effective and efficient collection of outstanding council tax due to the council
• To propose and check refunds of overpaid council tax for accounts in credit
• To deal with customer enquiries by telephone and letter in accordance with Service standards
• To provide a high level of customer service at all times
• To negotiate and monitor arrangements within the guidelines set in the Council’s collection policy
• To liaise with various external agencies and organisations and relevant officers or agents of the Council in respect all council tax liability matters
• To communicate with third parties such as employers, DWP, CAB in relation to billing and collection of council tax as appropriate.
This is a Full time role on a Temporary Contract Basis
