Salary: MPS / UPS (dependent on experience)
The Opportunity
A secondary school in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Teacher of English to cover a longer-term sickness absence from after the Easter break (13th April) through to the end of the academic year.
This is a full teaching role and requires an established QTS teacher confident working with mixed-ability KS3 classes.
The Role
- Teach English to Years 8 and 9
- Take responsibility for a Year 10 tutor group
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons
- Mark and assess student work
- Maintain clear routines and positive behaviour management
- Work collaboratively within the English department
What We're Looking For
- QTS (essential)
- Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school
- Confident teaching mixed-ability KS3 groups
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- Able to commit full-time until the end of the academic year
