Are you looking to start or build a career working with children in primary education?
We are recruiting Primary Classroom Assistants to work in welcoming and supportive primary schools across Cardiff. These roles are ideal for individuals who enjoy working with young children and want to play an important part in supporting their learning and development.
Previous school experience is helpful but not essential. Many of the schools we work with are happy to support and develop individuals who are motivated, patient and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.
In this role you will support teachers in the classroom while working with pupils individually and in small groups. Your day may involve helping children with reading and numeracy activities, encouraging engagement during lessons, and supporting pupils who may need additional help to stay focused or confident in the classroom.
You will also play an important role in helping to create a positive learning environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged to do their best.
Who This Role Is Ideal For
This role is particularly well suited to graduates in education, psychology, childhood studies or related subjects, as well as individuals who have experience working with children in settings such as nurseries, youth groups, sports coaching or care roles.
It is also a great opportunity for anyone considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, child development or youth work, as it provides valuable hands-on classroom experience.
Why Work in Primary Schools
Working in primary education offers a rewarding and structured environment where you can see the impact of your support every day. The school day provides a consistent routine and the opportunity to help children build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy learning.
Many classroom assistants go on to progress into teacher training, specialist support roles or long-term careers in education.
About Educators First
Educators First partners with primary and specialist schools across Cardiff to place passionate individuals into roles where they can make a genuine difference to pupils and school communities.
We provide ongoing support to our staff and aim to build long-term relationships with both schools and educators.
