Prospero Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Poole for a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Support Worker. This is a rewarding opportunity to join a team committed to supporting students with disabilities in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

Contract Details:
- Location: Poole, Dorset
- Position: Education Support Worker
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Type: Temp to Perm
- Hours: 32.5 hours per week
- Pay: From £14.96 per hour
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students throughout the school day in a range of subjects and activities, including Reading, Maths, ICT, PE, Swimming, Dance, Drama, Food Tech, and Music
- Promote and reinforce students' self-esteem, independence, and social development
- Communicate effectively with students using their preferred methods of communication
- Provide direct care to students in line with agreed standards
- Assist with setting up and tidying classrooms before and after lessons
- Build positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues
- Support students in their physical, emotional, and educational development
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people (preferably with additional needs)
- A positive, caring, and adaptable attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to undertake training and development
- Right to work in the UK
- Enhanced child-only DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
- Ability to provide two professional references
