Summary

TeacherActive is currently recruiting for a qualified and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join a friendly and well-established early years setting in East London. The Role:

• Lead and manage a nursery room, ensuring high-quality care and learning for all children

  
  

• Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework

  
  

• Support children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing

  
  

• Supervise and support other nursery practitioners within the room

  
  

• Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment

  
  

• Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues

  
  

• Complete observations, assessments, and learning journals to track progress

  
  

• Ensure safeguarding and nursery policies are always followed

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (or equivalent)

      
      

    • Previous experience working within a nursery setting

      
      

    • Experience leading a room or supporting room management (preferred)

      
      

    • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework

      
      

    • Excellent communication and leadership skills

      
      

    • A passionate, caring, and enthusiastic approach to early years education

      
      

    • A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
