Summary
Assistant Manager – Drive Service, Standards & Smiles
Join our team as an Assistant Manager and play a key role in delivering great food, great service and great experiences every day. You’ll support the General Manager in running a smooth, successful operation—leading the team, delighting customers, and keeping our standards sky‑high.
What you’ll be doingCreate brilliant customer moments
- Champion our brand standards and bring promotions to life.
- Support hospitality delivery and spot opportunities to upsell.
- Build strong relationships with our on‑site client and act as a trusted point of contact.
- Keep our retail areas stocked, appealing and ready for service.
Keep the numbers on track
- Support GP monitoring and cost control.
- Maintain accurate sales, cost and purchasing records.
- Help plan effective labour schedules and reduce unnecessary spend.
- Play your part in reducing waste and improving efficiency.
Lead, support and grow our people
- Motivate the team and communicate key targets.
- Manage time and attendance through OurTime.
- Help recruit great people and support training compliance.
- Encourage development, engagement and regular team conversations.
- Escalate and support with any performance or conduct concerns.
Champion safety, always
- Take responsibility for safe working across the unit.
- Ensure incidents are reported and investigated.
- Keep training records up to date and promote our HSE campaigns.
And when needed…
- Support functions, hospitality and wider operations.
- Be flexible to help across nearby units when required.
Essential
- Experience supervising or leading a team in catering, hospitality or facilities.
- The ability to motivate others and support their development.
- Strong organisational skills and a passion for excellent service.
- Confident communication and a positive approach to feedback.
- A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and the flexibility to adapt.
Desireable
- Previous supervisory or assistant management experience.
- Interest in working toward a Level 3 Management qualification
