Summary
St Mary’s Under Fives are looking for Early Years Practitioners to join a friendly and small team at a pre-school setting within the grounds of a local primary school in Marlborough. We were rated Good on our last Ofsted Inspection.
We are looking for qualified Early Years Practitioners to join our amazing team in Part time/Full time role. You must be enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and have knowledge of the EYFS.
We provide childcare for children aged 2 years to 5 years.
Role expectations:
• You will be a keyperson for a group of children including recording and tracking their learning and development.
• Working with children to provide high quality care and education
• Working closely with your team around you
• You will help provide a stimulating and exciting environment that promotes learning and development for our children.
• Liaising with parents, helping to support their whole family
• Supporting and maintaining daily routines.
Qualifications:
Essential:
• At least a Level 2 in early years and childcare
• Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
• Have a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special
• Pretending to eat playdough creations and pretending to drink numerous cups of tea.
• You must have the ability to read a ten-page fairy-tale, upside down, with at least 4 interruptions per page
• You must be prepared to have lots of fun in the workplace. Laughter is something you can expect to be a large part of your working day
Desirable:
• Level 3 early years educator or equivalent (including NVQ 3 childcare, Level 3 diploma for children & young people’s workforce)
• First Aid
• Food Hygiene
• Basic Safeguarding
We take safeguarding children very seriously and you will be expected to complete a DBS application before the job commences.
We would expect staff to work flexible hours depending on the needs of the pre-school and this can be agreed upon during the Interview process. The working hours of pre-school are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:15pm. Staff also get paid overtime for any staff meetings. The position is term time only (38weeks of the year). The contract is a fixed year term, with the possibility of extending.
