About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and ambitious Management Trainee to join our hospitality team in Great Yarmouth. This is a hands-on development role offering full exposure to hotel operations, guest services, financial administration, and online platform management across two boutique guest properties located within one minute walking distance of each other.
This position is ideal for someone aiming to build a long-term career in hotel management.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
• Support and oversee daily hotel operations
• Maintain high customer service standards
• Assist in increasing occupancy rates and revenue performance
Housekeeping & Property Oversight
• Supervise room and public area cleanliness
• Coordinate cleaning staff and provide operational support when required
• Conduct routine maintenance checks and report issues
Financial & Administrative Support
• Record daily income and operational expenses
• Support payment of supplier invoices and utility bills
• Maintain organised financial records
• Assist with payroll and statutory contributions
Marketing & Communications
• Manage listings on booking platforms (e.g., Booking.com, Expedia)
• Update the company website
• Manage social media accounts
• Respond to guest enquiries via phone and email
Guest & Staff Coordination
• Handle guest check-in and check-out
• Address guest concerns and special requests
• Coordinate part-time staff scheduling
Language Requirement
Fluency in Cantonese is required.
Proficiency in English is also required.
Candidate Profile
• Strong organisational skills
• Confident communicator
• Comfortable working independently
• Basic financial or administrative knowledge (training provided)
• Hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential
Working Pattern
• 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, 5 days)
• Flexible rota based on business needs
• Weekend and public holiday availability required
