This post will be responsible for providing the data assurance for the retrofitting of water efficient devices in the Greater Cambridge area. As well as quality assuring and analysing the data you will be required to provide the information required for the team to report regularly on the savings made.
In addition to this, you will support the Water Resources Security of Supply team on other relevant projects. You will need to have good analytical and organisational skills, be good at communications and engagement and be able prioritise work.
The role involves working with experts in the Environment Agency in areas and nationally, Defra, MHCLG, Ofwat, Local Authorities, water companies and consultants.

The team
You’ll join our water resources Security of Supply team. We set the direction for water resources planning including our statutory duty to conserve water through water efficiency and demand management. We’re part of the Environment and Business (E&B) Directorate. we promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive culture where everyone feels valued. We use evidence, expertise, engagement, and innovation to enhance and support delivery, influence policy, legislation, and secure resources.
Experience/skills required
We are looking for an enthusiastic person who loves working with data. You must have experience of working with excel and analysing data. We would be very interested in hearing from you if you have the following experience:
using and building excel spreadsheets to analyse data
working with large amounts of data and ability to see and communicate errors and present results
excellent written and verbal communication skills
a good record of achieving results
