Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Planning Officer (Band 3) to join our dynamic planning team. Responsibilities
Lead and manage a range of planning applications and development projects.
Assess planning applications and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
Engage with stakeholders, including local communities, developers, and government agencies.
Advise elected officials on planning policy issues and development proposals.
Ensure compliance with planning regulations and local government policies.
Conduct site visits and community consultations to gather feedback and assess proposals.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of planning policies and practices.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in urban planning, geography, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in a planning role, with a focus on development management.
Strong understanding of local and national planning legislation and policies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Proficient in planning software and GIS applications.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage diverse audiences.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
