Summary

Role Overview

Are you passionate about recruitment and keen to attract talented individuals to Gwent Police? We are seeking a Recruitment coordinator to cover 12 months maternity leave to drive the force’s recruitment strategy and respond proactively to workforce planning and demand. This pivotal role involves planning and coordinating activities to attract candidates to the police family, including police officers, police staff, volunteers and internal promotions.

As Recruitment Lead, you will:

Take ownership of recruitment portfolios across the force
Advise and support line managers and applicants on recruitment policies and procedures
Manage processes for police officer recruitment, including promotion, as well as police staff, agency staff, special constabulary, and volunteer recruitment
Lead candidate attraction initiatives and ensure a seamless recruitment experience

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

A Level 5 Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in Human Resources, or a commitment to obtain this qualification within an agreed timeframe
Experience in a fast-paced recruitment environment, demonstrating strong multitasking abilities and the capacity to meet tight deadlines
