An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Councils award winning School Meals Service for an Assistant Cook to work in our modern Rhos Street/Penbarras, Ruthin kitchen.
With payment during the school holidays, no weekend or evening work and School holidays off - this vacancy is perfect for work/life balance.
This is a hands-on position, and the successful candidate will assist the Primary School Cook with various types of cooking and in the day to day running of a busy School kitchen including the supervision of the catering staff.
The post holder must have experience in cooking for large numbers and hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
We understand that our staff are our most important resource and encourage staff to participate in the training opportunities we make available to them City and Guilds or equivalent NVQ qualifications in Catering would be of an advantage as would relevant experience in school meals but training will be provided.
Appointment subject to Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references.
