About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter/ Machinery Fitter to join our growing team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role with responsibility for assembling, fitting, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical fitting experience.
Key Responsibilities as a Mechanical Fitter:
• Fitting, assembling, and testing mechanical components and machinery
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical diagrams
• Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Conducting maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs
• Ensuring work meets quality and safety standards
• Supporting project builds and customer installations when required
Essential Skills & Experience as a Mechanical Fitter:
• Proven experience as a machinery fitter or mechanical assembler
• Ability to read technical and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, eg bearings, moving parts and ideally some
• wiring skills
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant vocational or engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, or similar)
