Summary
Providing a visible presence on the SCBU, the post holder demonstrate excellent compassionate leadership skills, managing the day to day running of the SCBU alongside the neonatal nursing team, supporting learning opportunities, working with the other ward managers to ensure effective, safe & quality services. Responsible for oversight of training compliance, budgets, recruitment, and safe staffing. Work closely with all MDT teams, especially paediatric & midwifery colleagues, participate in regional meetings, support research & development. Lead on investigation of complaints & incidents relating to the SCBU. Work closely with the neonatal lead for our Maternity & Neonatal Voices Partnership to understand and respond to service user needs & experiences. Continue to work clinically to deliver neonatal nursing care.
