Summary
The successful candidate will play an important role in the development and delivery of clinical teaching to medical students on the St George's University MBBS programme. Teaching will include the design and delivery of face to face or virtual teaching sessions via university and Trust platforms, Bedside teaching sessions, the appointee will organize and run a clinical skills course, using simulation to teach vaginal examination and speculum examination and clinical PBLs. The successful candidate must support the teaching of health, safety and infection control requirements including good hygiene practices, appropriate and safe use of scrubs/uniform and PPE for students. Administrative tasks will include timetabling and liaising with the lead for undergraduate teaching and the teaching coordinator. There are two MBBS programs, a 5-year course in which students are predominantly school- leavers, and a 4 year fast track course for graduate students. Students are admitted through a competitive selection process. The two courses merge for the clinical years.
