Summary

Establish ongoing communication and partnership approaches between children and their families, Health and Social Care representatives and any other relevant agencies or individuals to ensure a joined up and effective care experience. Participate in the delivery of high-quality evidence-based service provision working within the boundaries of The Childrens Law (2008) HSC Policies and Procedures, Childrens Homes Regulations (2011) and National Minimum Standards for Childrens Homes (2011). Work in partnership with childrens families and other professionals to ensure plans are formulated and adhered to and that where possible the childs views are an integral part of the process and implementing it within practice. Help ensure the daily routine of running The Croft is maintained. The post holder will be required to undertake administration and domestic tasks including cooking, cleaning and home maintenance during shifts as directed by the team leaders. Ensure all documentation is recorded accurately, concisely and in non-judgemental language, in a timely manner in line with best practice/policy and procedures. Work within boundaries relating to protecting and safeguarding children and young people and know when and how to refer a concern about Child Protection. Follow HSC policies and procedures regarding health and safety and report through the correct systems when necessary. Understand the purpose and participate fully in supervision and appraisals regarding your work and development needs and attend regular staff meetings to keep up to date with current team issues. To attend and fully participate in training as directed by the manager of the Short Break Service.
