Summary
Provide comprehensive mental health assessment and direct delivery of specialist clinicalcare. This includes: assessing the inter-relationship of physical illness, psychological andpsychosomatic presentations, the care and management of patients with mental healthproblems in acute and community hospital settings, developing and monitoring specialisedmental health programmes of care and providing highly specialised advice across clientgroups young people ( 16 plus CYP), adults of working age, people over 65 and peopleexperiencing substance misuse problems, providing evidence based therapeuticinterventions as required.Manage, on a regular basis, complex cases, some presenting with high-risk following episodes of self-harm and attempted suicide and requiring highly developed and advanced risk assessment, relapse management and crisis management skills.Be a source of education, advice and support for Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital staff intheir care of individuals with mental health presentations.
