Summary
A dedicated and dependable live-in domestic couple is needed by a family in Fakenham, Norfolk, to help them take care of their 3 children occasionally while maintaining the upkeep of their house and other properties.
Working hours: 7am - 7pm (1.5 hour break) Weekend availability required
Accommodation: As part of the stable block, the family is offering a lovely 2-bedroom annexe, to include 1 bathroom, and an en-suite, as well as a quaint garden.
Duties include:
Childcare Duties:
School drop offs and pick ups where requested with a confident driver.
Occasional childminding, approximately once a week, but flexibility is required.
Cooking Duties:
Cooking would be a bonus.
Kids meals ideally.
Breakfast (light meals).
General meal prep for the family
Housekeeping duties:
The upkeep and maintenance for a Rectory, consisting of 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms on 30 acres of private land.
Ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence.
Performing routine floor care, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping.
Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
Cleaning and sanitising bathroom facilities, including sinks, bathtubs, and showers.
Cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen area.
Washing, drying, and organising clothing and linens.
Managing laundry tasks, including ironing and folding.
Making beds and replacing linens as needed.
Cleaning and organising dishware, including loading and unloading the dishwasher.
Receiving and managing deliveries.
Care and attention to delicate artwork and other bespoke furnishings
30 acres around the house that require: garden maintenance, keeping the tools clean and in working order - assisting the management of a team of external contractors for larger projects (pool and tree surgery).
Pet Care duties:
3 ponies - horse care, sweeping the yard and horse box
2 whippets - feeding and walks. Care when the family are away
A valid first aid qualification is needed for this position. The family is looking for someone to start on 16th March 2026.
