About the Role

We are seeking amotivated and customer-focused Catering Assistant to join our team at a busyand prestigious site(Norfolk, NR35 1NT).Youwill play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of food service withinthe unit. From preparing and presenting food to serving customers andmaintaining cleanliness, you will help create a welcoming and professionalenvironment for clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times, providing a friendly, polite, and efficient experience.
  • Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages to company standards.
  • Take orders, serve customers at the counter, and operate the till when required, including cash handling and end-of-service procedures.
  • Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the unit.
  • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, safe working practices, fire procedures, and COSHH requirements.
  • Carry out cleaning duties across all areas of the unit, including equipment, fixtures, fittings, and service areas.
  • Load and maintain service counters to ensure continuous availability of products.
  • Support team members and contribute to a positive, collaborative working environment.
  • Assist with special functions, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours.
  • Report incidents, customer feedback, or operational issues promptly and professionally.
  • Undertake training and attend team meetings as required.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by management.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in food service, catering, or hospitality.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in food handling.
  • Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
  • High standards of personal hygiene and professional appearance.
  • A team player with a positive and proactive attitude.

Desirable:

  • Basic food hygiene certification.
  • Experience working in a standards-driven or compliance-focused environment.
