Help design the circuits powering the UK's future. You'll produce high‑quality EHV/HV designs (11kV-132kV), lead on CDM‑compliant delivery, mentor junior engineers and collaborate across multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost‑effective network solutions.
What you'll do
- Produce constructible circuit designs (below ground & OHL) compliant with standards and CDM
- Lead design assurance, audits and H&S integration; act as Principal Designer on allocated schemes
- Create project costings and contribute to technical/commercial procurement documents
- Partner with PMs, electrical/civil designers, CAD/PDC and alliance teams to drive quality, time and budget performance
- Support and mentor trainees/graduates/engineers
What you'll bring
- Degree in Civil/Circuit Engineering; strong cable/OHL/substation experience
- Proven EHV circuit design background (11kV-132kV): sizing/rating, pulling, joint/pulling bays, terminations, fibre/pilot routes
- Robust CDM/IOSH safety mindset; up‑to‑date with standards and best practice
- AutoCAD proficiency (Bentley a plus); excellent stakeholder communication and organisation
