Summary
Whether we're deploying Wi-Fi globally to government buildings, delivering security infrastructure to the world's most isolated areas or undertaking seismic strengthening on historical embassies, every project needs a plan. That's where our Project Management team shines. They deliver projects end-to-end, considering every single detail to deliver quality on time and on budget. And now, you've got the opportunity to join them.
Drafting big plans for bigger projects
Delivering results as a team
Turning designs into reality
It all matters
Use all your delivery skills as you focus on a range of global projects
When you bring your project management skills to this role you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of high quality global maintenance and construction projects for a number of overseas stakeholders. Committed to delivering on time and within budget, and maintaining relationships which enable the effective delivery of everything you focus on, you’ll be ready to work on projects that cross international borders and time zones. We’ll also expect you to perform internal and external stakeholder mapping, work on the communication strategies and planning for a defined portfolio, and manage the Health and Safety requirements and deliverables for a range of concurrent, multi-functional projects.
Additional tasks will include establishing each project’s supply chain with a focus on regional capabilities, scheduling work packages, and adding to pipeline forecasting work to ensure adequate resource planning and the optimum use of our organisation’s resources. You’ll also stay within budget by recording and monitoring financial performance, set the cost and resources baseline, ensure that all required data entries are complete and accurate, and embed rigorous project risk and change management processes.
Work as a key member of a team that defends the nation’s interests
With well developed experience of the end-to-end delivery of small construction projects, you’ll be working towards Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP or a ISEB Certificate in project management, and possess applied knowledge of the relevant methodologies in project design, development and implementation. It’s also important that you have specific domain understanding and experience of operation, maintenance and deployment using NEC4, GC Works and FIDIC contracts and documentation in procuring construction, and good knowledge of construction related Health & Safety and CDM2015 regulations.
A collaborative team worker with motivating management skills, you’ll be capable of making constructive and effective decisions while delivering at pace. A strong and proactive communicator and ready to build positive relationships with a diverse range of customers, contractors and colleagues, experience of working on security projects in secure environments would be desirable. In addition, you’ll be at an advantage if you’ve delivered construction projects overseas, and a Health & Safety qualification such as IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS would be a plus.
Discover the support you need to grow your career further
But we’re always looking to improve – just like you. That’s why when you join us, expect to receive a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement and a Civil Service Pension. Along with this, you’ll also have access to training and other development opportunities to help grow your career with us. Our offices have an on-site gym, nursery, café, and restaurant, and we offer interest-free loans on season tickets and bikes to help you get there. It's a great set of benefits made to support all you do, and all you need.
