National Express are looking to recruit a Vehicle Allocator, based at our Acocks Green Garage on a part time basis. The successful candidate will complete the allocation of correct Buses to Running Boards prior to public service.
This is a 26.5 hour per week position (average) with the below shift patterns;
Week 1 will be Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Midnight - 08:00am
Week 2 will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday Midnight - 08:00am
What you'll do:
- Full Knowledge of Vehicle types held at the garage
- Recognise the Importance of `Right bus – Right Route'
- Communication between Operations and Engineering departments essential
- Act as a liaison between Operations and Engineering to ensure the correct buses are allocated to
- Liaise with engineering Supervisor regarding buses under repair
- Assist in vehicle changeovers
- Reduce Engineering and Operations lost mileage where possible
What you'll need:
- Full PCV license - as driving on the road will be required
- Knowledge of the bus Industry an advantage
- Good general standard of Education
- Self motivated and able to work without supervision
- Be computer literate
- Have a problem solving attitude
- Be able to work towards and meet strict deadlines
