Summary
Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Dronfield | Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday – Thursday)

The Role
We are looking for a proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to ensure the continuous reliability and safety of our manufacturing plant. This is a key role where you will support a wide range of plant, including CNC machining, forging presses and friction welding. You will balance rapid-response breakdown support to minimise downtime and Planned Preventative Maintenance
Key Responsibilities
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled inspections and servicing on diverse plant machinery to prevent failures before they occur.
• Rapid Breakdown Response: Diagnose and repair Electrical faults quickly and effectively to maintain production flow.
• Work across diverse range of plant including CNC and Manual machines, Forging, Heat Treatment, Shotblasting, and Induction Heating.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve machinery reliability and safety protocols.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities using our internal IT systems.
Candidate’s requirements
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Technical Skill: Ideally formally qualified in Mechanical Engineering (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent apprenticeship).
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplined team in a fast-paced setting.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships across the shop floor.
• Certifications: IPAF training is highly desirable; IT literacy is essential.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, occasionally at short notice, to meet critical production needs.
