Summary
Primary Teacher QTS – Wigton
Humly is recruiting a Primary Teacher QTS to join a primary school on a temporary basis.
This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing until 17/07/2026. This position would suit an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher looking to support Year 6 pupils through the summer term as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
What You’ll Be Doing
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum for Year 6 pupils
Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Collaborate with colleagues to support whole-school initiatives and pupil development
Provide pastoral care and guidance to ensure pupil wellbeing
Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching upper primary, ideally Year 6
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to create an inclusive classroom where all pupils can thrive
Passion for supporting children’s learning, development, and transition to secondary school
Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with colleagues
Pay
Non-AWR: from £120 per day

Enhanced DBS required (Humly can support with an Enhanced DBS at a cost to the educator)
