As the Attendance Administrator, you will play a key part in maintaining accurate attendance records and supporting the school in meeting statutory attendance requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring daily student attendance and updating records using the school's MIS (such as SIMS/Arbor/Bromcom).
  • Making first day absence calls to parents and carers.
  • Producing attendance reports for senior leaders, pastoral staff, and external agencies.
  • Liaising with staff, parents, and students to support attendance-related issues.
  • Assisting with attendance meetings, letters, and follow-up actions.
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.

This is a temporary role, ideal for someone who can quickly integrate into a busy school environment and maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working in attendance is desired.
  • Strong working knowledge of school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom).
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage competing deadlines.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to undergo one).
