Summary

Help us make a difference to people with life-limiting illnesses…

At The Myton Hospices, we provide specialist care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses, and their loved ones, from the point of diagnosis to end of life. We are a much-loved and well supported charity, at the heart of our community. We have three hospices, a range of community services, and 26 charity shops in Coventry and Warwickshire.

About the role:

We're looking for a Registered General Nurse to join our Patient & Carer Wellbeing Service (PCWBS), who provide a blended model of telephone, outpatient and face-to-face services. The role is based in Warwick, with travel across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Working closely with a multi-disciplinary team, you will coordinate the assessment, planning and evaluation of individualised, patient-centred care, with a holistic approach that is sensitive and responsive to the ever-changing needs of patients, their families, and their carers.

If you would like to be part of a team who are passionate about providing a high standard of care and support to people either living with or caring for someone with a life-limiting illness, apply now.

About you:

We are seeking an NMC Registered Nurse with:

- Post-registration qualifications
- Specialist knowledge of symptom control and end-of-life care
- Experience in palliative care, oncology or community nursing
- Skills in holistic assessment, advanced communication and multidisciplinary team working
- Emotional resilience and professional boundaries
- Ability to work autonomously and flexibly to meet service needs
- The right to work in the UK (we cannot provide sponsorship)

This role will require an enhanced DBS check including the adult’s and children’s barred lists because it involves providing adult healthcare and supporting patients and families in their homes. We will arrange and cover the cost of this check.

We are committed to building an inclusive workplace and encourage everyone to bring their true selves to work. However you identify, and whatever background you bring with you, we welcome you to apply. If there are any adjustments that would help improve your experience with Myton, we encourage you to share this with us.

We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and from ethnic minorities, who are currently under-represented in our hospices. We also believe our interview process should be inclusive and transparent. If there is anything missing, or a way we can improve, please do let us know.
