About the Role
We are a growing, CQC-compliant care provider seeking a highly organised and proactive Agency Support Officer to assist with the day-to-day running of the business.
This varied role includes HR support, administrative coordination, on-call duties, and conducting staff assessments and spot checks to ensure compliance and quality standards are maintained.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in care coordination, senior care, HR support, or compliance who is looking for a flexible, pro rata position within a supportive agency.
Key Responsibilities
HR & Recruitment Support
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and staff compliance checks
Maintain accurate employee records in line with CQC and GDPR requirements
Monitor training compliance and renewal deadlines
Support disciplinary, supervision, and appraisal processes
Administrative Duties
Maintain digital and paper filing systems
Update care documentation and compliance trackers
Support rota coordination and staff allocation where required
Respond to emails, phone calls, and general enquiries professionally
On-Call Support
Participate in the on-call rota (evenings/weekends where required)
Respond to staff or client emergencies and provide solutions
Arrange emergency cover where necessary
Assessor & Compliance Duties
Conduct spot checks and staff competency assessments
Complete service user reviews where required
Ensure care delivery aligns with care plans and CQC standards
Report concerns and support continuous improvement
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in health & social care (senior level or above preferred)
Understanding of CQC standards and compliance requirements
Experience in HR administration or recruitment (preferred)
Full UK driving licence
Access to own vehicle
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Confident communication and leadership abilities
Professional, solution-focused approach
Desirable
NVQ Level 3 or above in Health & Social Care
Experience in care coordination or supervisory role
Knowledge of rota systems or care management software
