Summary

Cover Supervisor | The Ultimate All-Rounder (KS3 & KS4)

Role: Cover Supervisor (Full-Time/Flexible)

Location: Tamworth & Surrounding Areas

Salary: £90 - £120 Per Day

Contract: Temporary / Ongoing

Are you the versatile professional we're looking for?

No two days are the same in a secondary school, and we need a Cover Supervisor who thrives on variety. Whether you're overseeing a Science practical, a History debate, or a Maths workshop, you are the steady hand that ensures learning continues seamlessly when the regular teacher is away.

This is an ideal role for graduates seeking school experience, retired professionals, or anyone looking for a rewarding role without the "take-home" work of planning and marking.

What's in it for you?

  • Great Work-Life Balance: No planning, no marking, and no parent evenings. When the bell rings, your day is done!
  • Weekly Pay: Competitive daily rates paid every Friday.
  • Supportive Culture: Work within a collaborative school environment where Cover Supervisors are valued members of the team.
  • Path to Teaching: This is the perfect "foot in the door" if you are considering a future career in education (PGCE/School Direct).

The Ideal "Classroom Lead"

We want to hear from you if you:

  • Are Confident: You can step into a room of 30 students and command respect through excellent classroom management.
  • Are Adaptable: You can jump from subject to subject with ease and follow pre-set lesson plans accurately.
  • Are Resilient: You handle challenges with a calm, positive attitude and a sense of humour.
  • Are Safe: You are 100% committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.

Your Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise: Deliver pre-set work left by the class teacher and ensure students stay on task.
  • Manage: Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behaviour according to school policy.
  • Support: Assist students with their work and answer any general questions they have.
  • Report: Provide brief feedback for the returning teacher on student progress and behaviour.
