Summary
Dorset Health Care University Trust are looking to recruit a Clinical Educator to work to support of our community and Inpatient services across Dorset.
The post holder will be responsible for the development, delivery, and evaluation of a programme of clinically relevant practice education to support the professional development of the organisation. This may include some elements of mandatory training but is likely to be primarily clinical skills.
The appointed individual will have a specific focus on enabling the delivery of high-quality patient/person centred care that is grounded in evidence-based practice and underpinned by national, organisational and trust objectives, guidelines, and policies.
The person we are looking for will have; a strong clinical background with recent clinical experience, excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels, demonstrate a passion for education and act as a professional role model. We will provide appropriate support and opportunities for your continued development.

The overarching aim of the Clinical Educator is to facilitate and support the clinical, professional, and educational development of the organisation. Development of clinical training programs and supporting access to stat and Mand training.
To provide evidenced based educational support to clinical staff to ensure they have the learning to provide a quality person centred approach to care delivery which always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.
To provide specialist advice, support, supervision and continuous professional development activities.
To plan, implement and review evidence based improvement programmes in a range of settings to drive continuous quality improvement in the delivery of high quality and safe care for patients and service users.
To positively support, influence and improve the quality of the clinical environment by the provision of research, audit and educational activities to facilitate improvements in patient care and organisational development.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
