The Clinical Fellow (ST3+/SpR Level) rotates to a particular Consultant or Consultants within the Department on a 6 month rotation.

Most of the commitments are at Southmead or the Bristol Children’s Hospital.

This is a very busy department. The successful candidate will be exposed to trauma as well as elective plastic surgery procedures. The department deals with hand and lower limb trauma as well as facial soft injury tissues. We are the Paediatric Burns Centre and Regional Burns Unit for the South West. The Cleft Lip and Palate unit is located at the Bristol Children’s Hospital. There is a busy Skin Cancer, Sarcoma and Breast Reconstructive service within the department.

The job will cover ward, out-patients and theatre duties.

The successful candidate will take part in the on-call rota as part of the team. They will cover one or the other site on a 1 in 11 rota based on a 24 hour shift
