Purpose of the Role

Key Responsibilities

Management Development

- Collaborate with Operations Leadership and People team to identify learning needs through skill gap analysis and performance review analysis.

- Design and deliver targeted learning modules to Nursery management teams as required.

- Host management development curriculum sessions as required.

- Working with the People Operations team and Talent Acquisition, design and deliver the company induction for new starters in Nursery's and the NSC

- Design and deliver management inductions specific to roles for nursery management and nursery support centre employees.

- Working with the Head of People Experience, Early Years Trainers and Apprenticeship and Qualifications Lead, design and deliver a High Potential 'Career Progression' Scheme at all levels in Nursery's and at the NSC.

- Design and deliver training to potential regional based future nursery managers identified by Ops / NSC teams to complete relevant course ready for progression into new roles.

- Design and deliver in person and digital training to individuals and groups across nurseries and support centres to the agreed schedule and when a bespoke need is required.

- Evaluate learning programmes and link back to the learning needs of individuals and groups.

- Manage and develop effective resources in collaboration with the wider L&D team, for effective and innovative delivery.

- Ensure that programme content is regularly reviewed and updated to meet changes in legislation and company policies and procedures.

- In conjunction with Comms lead, design and execute specific communications that vary by channel and audience for each learning intervention.

Systems Training

- Identify, design and deliver a training curriculum that onboards and train new staff on the relevant systems to their role including MS Office in the NSC and settings.

- Adapt training methods and resources to meet needs of individuals with varying technical abilities.

- Ensure that curriculum is regularly reviewed and updated to meet system changes.

- Develop own knowledge and understanding of new systems in order to provide robust training to all parties on new systems and processes in readiness for roll out.

- Participate in evaluation, audit and action planning to develop training that meets changing needs.

- Produce monthly progress (RAG rated) reports and share with heads of nursery and support centre teams to track and support L&D activity and progress.

- Register employees onto identified IMS and LMS systems upon commencement of employment and remove employees when they leave the company.

- Integrate acquired nurseries and employees onto our systems.

- Issue user licences for agreed access level to systems

- Resolve access and user issues, liaising with system providers where necessary.

- Test updates to systems and escalate trouble shooting to correct department/external provider.

- Regularly check on compliance training records to ensure team members are completing their required training on time and identifying action plans for those who need it.

Key Skills & Experience

- End to end experience of the learning cycle from identifying learning needs, design, delivery and evaluation.

- Experience of design and delivering face-to-face and digital training and coaching to diverse audiences

- Experience of adapting and delivering training, catering for individual learning styles and technical capabilities

- Passionate, credible presentational capability

- Can demonstrate the ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with leaders and people colleagues.

- Experience of working with nursery systems and processes preferred.

- Skilled in the production of reports and written materials

- End to end Project Management experience

- Certificate in Education and Training/CIPD Level 3 Learning and Development (or equivalent)
