Summary

Production Operative Level 2

The Role

In the role of Production Operative (Level 2) in the Production Department you will be responsible for carrying out a range of production activities to ensure operational objectives and standards are achieved in a fully effective and efficient manner.

Other responsibilities include:

To pack quality fresh produce products across a min of 2 categories to our Customers’ standards and specifications.
Carry out any “process” as trained and advised by Production Line Leader/Section Leader ensuring strict conformance to procedure.
Train and monitor quality and performance of Operatives working on the line whilst supporting the Line Leader and adhering to customer quality specifications and guidelines required.
If required to “step up” to Line Leader Band 1 duties, ensure product integrity, conformance to customer specification, technical standards and business procedures are adhered to.
Participate as member of the packing operations team providing input to continuous improvement.
Always adhere to QA specifications / guidelines whilst carrying out any task.
Achieve the KPI’s for any machine or process.

Key Skills and Knowledge:

Previous experience in the production environment of a medium to large manufacturing organisation.
Able to cope with the demands of high levels of flexibility and short lead times whilst maintaining conformance to specifications.
Ability to read and follow instructions, used to quality focused operations.
A flexible attitude to work and an appetite for personal development.
