Summary
Care Professional – Home Instead
At Home Instead, we provide high-quality non-medical care and companionship for seniors, helping them live safely and comfortably at home. Our visits are always a minimum of one hour, allowing our Care Professionals to deliver personalised, unhurried support.
We carefully match our Care Professionals with clients based on shared interests and hobbies, helping to build strong, trusting relationships. Our award-winning training ensures every client receives the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities
Companionship
Provide friendly conversation and emotional support
Encourage hobbies, activities, and social engagement
Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
Home Help
Light housekeeping (cleaning, vacuuming, laundry, changing bedding)
Organising cupboards and checking food expiry dates
Grocery shopping and preparing nutritious meals
Assisting with pet care
Personal Care
Support with bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist with continence care
Help with morning and evening routines
Provide compassionate care for clients with Dementia or Alzheimer’s
Essential Requirements
Friendly, caring personality with strong communication skills
Ability to build trusting relationships with clients and families
Respect for people from diverse backgrounds
Reliable, organised, and punctual
Good hygiene and professional appearance
Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check
Access to reliable transport (and Class 1 business insurance if using your own car)
