About the Role
TD Recruitment is recruiting for an ongoing Sweeper Driver position with a respected waste & recycling client. This is a stable, hands-on role operating road sweepers to maintain clean roads and sites across the South West – perfect for someone who enjoys being out on the road, values routine routes, and wants secure, long-term work with real progression potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating road sweepers on planned routes across a 50-mile radius
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and vehicle care
Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues
Working Monday–Friday with early starts (06:00) and overtime opportunities
Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and company procedures
What We're Looking For:
Valid UK driving licence (Category C / Class 2 preferred for larger vehicles; Category C1 considered for smaller sweepers)
Driver CPC (essential for HGV-class vehicles)
Tachograph card (tacho card) – required as an internal policy for this role
Experience in sweeping, waste, logistics, or similar HGV driving preferred
Reliable, safety-focused, and happy working outdoors/early shifts
Good communication skills and team player attitude
