Tru Talent are proud to be partnering with one of the UK's leading airports, currently seeking a friendly and professional Check-in Agent to act as an ambassador and first point of contact for passengers. This is a fantastic opportunity with the potential to lead to a permanent position.

Job Overview:

As a Check-in Agent, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service to passengers travelling through the airport. Working on behalf of customer airlines, you will assist with a variety of duties including check-in, boarding, passenger assistance and general airport support, ensuring travellers enjoy a smooth and positive journey.

Key Responsibilities of the Check-in Agent:

• Assist passengers throughout the arrival and check-in process
• Provide support for passengers with additional requirements, including unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and wheelchair assistance
• Guide passengers through Customs, Immigration and quarantine where required
• Make public address announcements when necessary
• Support colleagues across the airport to ensure wheelchairs, strollers and luggage remain with passengers on arrival
• Operate airport systems and specialist equipment including air-bridges, scanners and airline software
• Produce work-related documentation where required
• Maintain the highest standards of safety, security and customer care at all times
• Assist with aircraft cleaning when required
• Carry out any additional duties as required by the operation

Skills and Experience required for the Check-in Agent:

• Flexible to work a range of shifts including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays
• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport may not be available
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Confident using computers and willing to learn airline-specific systems
• Ability to follow processes and procedures while adapting to changing situations
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions if required
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A positive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
