Ballathie House Hotel is a welcoming and well-established 4* Country House Hotel known for delivering exceptional guest experiences 24/7. We are currently looking for a reliable and professional Day Porter to join our team and help ensure the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of our guests.

The Day Porter will deliver an exceptional guest experience throughout the hotel by demonstrating expert product knowledge and outstanding attention to detail. The role requires professionalism at all times, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable stay that reflects the highest standards of hospitality.

Duties:

*Provide a warm, professional welcome to all guests on arrival and departure, creating a positive first impression of the hotel.
*Assist guests with luggage, escort guests to rooms when required, and provide information about hotel facilities and services.
*Support the Front Office team with guest arrivals and departures, ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out experience.
*Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests, enquiries, and deliveries, ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
*Maintain the cleanliness, organisation, and presentation of the hotel entrance, lobby, and all ground floor public areas to the highest standard.
*Assist with the set-up, movement, and breakdown of furniture and equipment for meetings, events, and functions as required.
*Handle guest luggage storage and parcel deliveries securely and in accordance with hotel procedures.
*Conduct regular checks of public areas and report any maintenance, safety, or security concerns promptly to the relevant department.
*Work collaboratively with all hotel departments to ensure efficient day-to-day operations and exceptional guest service.
*Adhere to all hotel health, safety, and fire procedures, ensuring a safe environment for guests and colleagues.
*Carry out any additional duties as requested by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel.

What We’re Looking For:

*Previous experience in a similar role or within the hospitality industry is desirable, though not essential.
*A friendly, approachable, and professional manner with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
*A strong sense of responsibility with excellent attention to detail.
*The ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
*Good communication and customer service skills, with a genuine focus on delivering a positive guest experience.

Hours:

8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm, depending on business needs. Flexibility is required, including availability to work weekends. Part time and full time applicants will be considered.
